Oilers Win Game 4, Force Game 5 Against Canucks

Bouchard Nets Late Goal to Tie Series

Edmonton, Alberta - May 14, 2024

Evan Bouchard scored the game-winning goal with 381 seconds remaining in the third period, lifting the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in Game 4 of their Western Conference Second Round series.

The win evens the best-of-seven series at 2-2, forcing a pivotal Game 5 in Vancouver on Monday night.

Bouchard's goal came on a rebound off a shot by Connor McDavid. It was the 23-year-old defenseman's second goal of the playoffs.

"It was a big goal for us," Bouchard said. "We needed a win tonight to tie the series and we got it. We're going to take this momentum into Game 5 and try to win it on the road."

The Oilers also got goals from Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman. J.T. Miller and Conor Garland scored for the Canucks.

Mike Smith made 30 saves for the Oilers, while Thatcher Demko stopped 27 shots for the Canucks.

Game 5 of the series is scheduled for Monday night in Vancouver.
